My studio neighbor Jamie Abbott and I did a collaborative piece for this wonderful exhibit. 90-plus sculptures in a variety of media are exhibited in the 11th annual show at the beautiful two-acre gardens of Sierra Azul nursery. Our piece, which is actually five pieces all exhibited as a unit, is reminiscent of pod forms or perhaps chrysalises, and is made from cement and vermiculite, burlap, and paint. Come see!

This is an amazing show in a beautiful space! I was part of a collaborative effort, with Jamie Abbott and Roy Holmberg, and we created a large-scale steel-and-concrete sculpture based on a eucalyptus branch with leaves and pods. Come see the show, and visit us at the reception if you can!

We’re having a Spring Studio Sale at Mission Industrial Studios! Many of you have visited me at Open Studios, but this is not the same sort of event. My studio is currently very much in a working state, with plastic sheeting on my working walls and projects in progress (in other words, I’m not exactly cleaning up!). I have pieces in progress, projects that I’m contemplating, and plenty of finished work, both old and new. I’m offering discounts on some pieces, hoping to find the right home for them. And ten of my neighbors are also open, so it is a big event for us. Stop in for a visit!
