The Daily Bird

50 pieces in 50 days!

I made these fifty pieces for the 50-50 II exhibition at the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, July-August, 2010.Sixty-seven artists were selected by juror Marian Parmenter, co-founder of SFMoMA Artist’s Gallery. Each artist created one piece per day for 50 days, starting on May 18, 2010. All pieces were 6×6″, and each artist used a single medium and a unified theme. Each artist’s pieces were installed in a square grid of 7×7, as shown here, with the 50th piece hanging to the right of the grid.
