Another Iceland drawing (see this post for the first two). This one, though done with drawing materials, feels like a painting to me.
As is usually the case, the scale of these drawings seems important to me, so here is the obligatory studio shot with my yellow ladder included for scale reference.
Evocative piece Barbara. The landscape, or the contents of the landscape, consume about 3/4 of the scene. More than half full. – Thanks for posting.
You can see on the studio photo how the horizon line has been moving around on these pieces. I’m still not sure which I like best…more earth, or more sky.

Land & sky might dominate the small human structures, but these landscapes have the same sense of intimacy as your figure paintings. I hope there’s more to come.
