I’ve grown rather fond of this suite of ten small encaustic pieces that I’ve just completed. Each is 6″x6″, encaustic on panel. I delivered them today to this show:

A great ethereal quality, Barbara! You are such an accomplished master of this medium which has become so popular. That’s a great venue for these little treasures and I’ll try to get over and see them. (I’m a member.) I wish you sales, if you want them, and a wonderful opening.
Thanks, Diane! It’s very interesting to work in encaustic and I like it quite a bit. It’s so different from other mediums. It’s like a combination of painting, drawing and printmaking, but with only a bit of something from each of those. I like the malleability of encaustic (though that can be a danger for me sometimes too).
